![]() That's a lot of caveats, but I do like the trailer anyway, and I am interested in playing a citybuilder in VR. Lastly, it's being developed for Meta Quest 2, née Oculus Quest 2, and thus far not confirmed for any other headset. Wraith is part of the World Of Darkness universe, which is owned by Paradox - the publisher behind Cities: Skylines.Ĭities: VR also aims to bring over the "core gameplay elements", while "offering a unique approach to the simulation through VR." Does that mean it's Skylines but in VR, or does that mean it's a substantially different game but with the core of building cities? I've no idea, and there's only little real game footage in the trailer. Fast Travel are the developers behind other VR games, like Wraith: The Oblivion - Afterlife, and they co-developed Budget Cuts 2. The first is that it's not being made by Skylines developers Colossal Order, but by Fast Travel Games. If you had to do something different to get it to work, please share in the comments! I just wanted to share that it is actually possible. There are a three catches. And my instructions may not be perfect, and may not work for you. ![]() Bear in mind that this game was not designed for stereoscopic displays, so it won't be perfect. You will probably have to play with your settings a bit to get a decent stereoscopic view, and it may still be sub-optimal. You will have to re-check the box in the "add-ons" tab when you re-enable it. If you want to turn off stereoscopic view, uncheck the SuperDepth3D shader in the Reshade menu. ![]() (Your depth map should look something like this.)ġ0) set your "Depth Map View" to OFF to return your view to normal stereoscopic.ġ) Download and install Virtual Desktop from Steam.ģ) Set your screen size, screen distance, and screen curve to your preference.Ĥ) Return to the game and put on your VR headset. Refer to the following images for other settings: Check "Cursor Toggle" and select your preferred cursor shape under "Cursor selection." The default game cursor will still be visible but will not work with UI elements. This black and white view is your depth map.ĩ) Adjust these setting until you have a decent depth map: Depth Map Adjustment (mine is 42.2) Depth Map Offset (mine is -1.0 I only seem to get good results with a negative number, ZPD & separation (mine are 0.009 and 0.250), and ZPD Balance (mine is 0.885) I have my ZPD auto-balance OFF. One of these will change the appearance of your blank screen. You should see some checkboxes with some long strings of incomprehensible letters and numbers. Set "3d Display Mode" to Side-By-Side.Ĩ) Switch to the Add-ons tab. This is expected.ħ) Set "Depth Map Selection" to "DM1 Reversed." Check the "Depth Map Flip" checkmark. For the purposes of these instructions, DO NOT SELECT SUPERDEPTH3D_VR!Ħ) Scroll down to the "Depth map view" option and select "stereo depth map." This will make your screen blank. For the purposes of these instructions, you may select "Skip Tutorial."ĥ) Scroll through the shaders menu and select SuperDepth3D. Open the Reshade menu with shift-f2 or Home or whatever your version uses. EDIT: You can enable anti-aliasing as a shader within ReShade later.Ĥ) Enter the game by loading or starting a new city. Open the Options menu, and under Graphics, disable Anti-aliasing. That's the one you want.ģ) Start Cities Skylines. Select Depth3D and any other shaders you want to try. How, you ask? By spending hours and hours of your life googling, trying unlikely workarounds, and facing numerous dead-ends with VorpX and buckets of tears and torn-out hair?ĭo this instead! (You will need these three things: Cities Skylines, ReShade, and Virtual Desktop)ġ) Download ReShade (assuming you got here from google and aren't subscribed to this subreddit - go here: )Ģ) Install Reshade for Cities Skylines. It is possible to view Cities Skylines in stereoscopic 3d in your VR headset using Reshade and Virtual Desktop. I spent literal years wondering if this was possible and I've finally done it.
